Non-return flap | check valve | non-return valves | check valves
Anti-flood protection, flood protection are used in places where there is a risk of backwater, backflow water to the gravity sewage system from drainage ditches, rivers, lakes, bays or other water reservoirs. The backflow of water into the gravitational sewage system leads to flooding of garages, basements and industrial plants. Failures of water and sewage pumping stations are a frequent reason for flooding of lower-lying places.

Proven anti-backflow protection systemanti-flood is a non-return flap and a non-return valve to be mounted on the sewage system or at their outlets to the receiver. Made with flange connection, spigot. If necessary, counterweights with adjustable opening force are used in non-return flaps. Made of high-density polyethylene PE-HD, characterized by high resistance to corrosion and aggressive substances that may be present in sewage. These materials do not require the use of additional ones protective coatings and maintenance procedures.
Anti-flood protection offered by the company NavoTech include:
- KP check valve,
- ProFlex one-way check valve.
KP check valves produced by NavoTech are used for one-way closing and opening of pipe channels, they prevent reverse flow in the event of raising the sewage level behind the flap. They play a protective and regulating role.
Sealed check valve opens automatically in the direction flow under the influence of the pressure of the liquid inside the pipeline. When the liquid pressure behind the one-way check valve (e.g. in the receiver) increases to a value greater than the value of the pressure in the supply pipeline, the closing disc of the check valve automatically closes.
Return flaps KP are produced in two basic types. Types of non-return flap available in NavoTech:
– network check valves,
KP-S – non-return flap, net, bare,*
KP-Sk – non-return flap, network, flanged,
for installation on a gravity sewage network,*
*only on inquiry
– end check valves:
KP-B – check valve, end, bare, smooth pipe,
KPS-B - non-return flap, end, bare, structural double-walled pipe,
KP-KR – check valve, end flange for installation on a pipeline, smooth pipe,
KPS-KR – check valve, end flange for installation on a pipeline, structural double-walled pipe,
KP-KS – check valve, end, flanged for wall mounting, smooth pipe,
KPS-KS – check valve, end, flanged, for wall mounting, structural double-wall pipe, for mounting in a chamber, abutment, sewage outlet to the receiver
*at the customer's request, we are able to make a non-return flap with a counterweight.
Rubber one-way check valve ProFlex is the perfect solution for controlling back pressure (back pressure) that builds up in sewage treatment plant drains, sewer outlets, storm drains and watercourse drains. The offered check valves are an alternative to check valves that can jam and rust. Unlike non-return flaps, the ProFlex rubber non-return valve will handle obstacles (objects blocking the flow) without jamming as well as without opening the non-return flap, without the possibility of closing it.
Check valves ProFlex are produced in two basic types:
- ProFlex type 710 or 720 with flange connection,
- ProFlex type 730 or 740 with sleeve connection.
The main advantages of using ProFlex check valves are:
- excellent flood and backwater protection
- prevent rodents from entering the installation
- protect against odors
- no moving elements such as a hinge or joint
- resistant and insensitive to water ripples
- wide range of diameters from 50 to 1800 [mm]
- a large selection of construction variants: on abutments, in wells, in an existing pipe, on a closed or open channel
- very quiet operation without knocks
- they do not deform and do not freeze
- resistant to devastation (no steel elements).

Backflow flap in NAVOTECH - a product with many possibilities
Backflow flap KP by NAVOTECH is made of PE. The structure and construction of the damper enables installation with various types of pipelines or to the wall due to the spigot or flange execution. The range of damper diameters from DN160 to DN3000 gives a wide range and makes it possible to meet the needs of even the most demanding investors and users.
Advantages of using KP check valves:
- Light and durable construction.
- Corrosion resistance.
- No need for maintenance and surface protection.
- Possibility of bare or flange connection.
- Availability in a wide range of diameters.
- Possibility of structural modification of each type of damper.
- Counterweight can be used.
Use of return flaps
NAVOTECH hatches are used on many private and public investments in our country and abroad.
Our non-return valves are extremely important in sewage systems, as they are used for one-way closing and opening of pipe channels. Thanks to them, we can prevent backflow in the event of raising the sewage level behind the flap. They play a protective and regulating role.
The advantages of our non-return flaps are primarily their automatic operation. Backflow flap it opens automatically in the flow direction under the influence of the pressure of the liquid inside the pipeline. When the liquid pressure behind the check valve increases to a value greater than the value of the pressure in the supply pipeline, the closing disc of the check valve automatically closes.
Our KP check valves are available in two basic types: network and terminal. The network hatches are intended for installation on the gravity sewage network. End flaps, in turn, are designed to be installed in the well, at the abutment, at the outlet of the sewage system to the receiver.
The use of non-return valves covers a wide range of sewage systems, both in residential and industrial buildings. They are necessary in places where there is a risk of backflow of sewage, for example as a result of rising water levels.
In addition, at the customer's request, we are able to perform check valve with counterweight. Our non-return flap is not only reliable, but also tailored to the individual needs of our customers.
The end flap is a valve that is used in sewage and melioration systems. It can be used both as an end device and as a network device. It is used to protect against backflow of water or sewage back to installation. The end hatch is mounted at the end of the pipe in the sewer chamber.
End check valve is a special valve used in sewage and melioration systems. It is used both as an end device and as a network element. Its main task is to protect against backflow of water or sewage in the opposite direction, i.e. to avoid the outflow of the contents of the installation into the sewage well.
End flap is mounted at the end of the pipe located in the well sewage system. Thanks when flow liquids is interrupted or changed, the end flap closes immediately, preventing the contents from flowing back. This is a key solution that prevents contamination or flooding of the installation, which can cause serious environmental and technical problems.
Thanks to the use of the end check valve, sewage system it works more efficiently and safely, reducing the risk of failure and ensuring protection for the environment and public health.
