Water and sewage neutralization

Neutralization(neutralization reaction) – a chemical reaction between an acid and a base that changes the pH of the reaction medium towards a more neutral reaction.

Pursuant to the ordinance of the Polish Minister of the Environment, the pH range of treated sewage discharged into the sewage system should be between 6.5 and 8.0. If the pH of the sewage does not meet the above requirement, it must be neutralized.
