NT-OSI-3 - a mobile device for measuring the thickness of a layer of mineral suspensions

Application

The NT-OSI-3 measuring device is used to determine the thickness of the mineral suspension layer in tanks connected to rainwater and sanitary sewage systems. Measurement of the thickness of the layer of suspended solids retained in the tank enables estimation of its volume necessary to be removed by the service company. NT-OSI-3 allows you to measure the thickness of the mineral suspension layer without having to enter the tank. The device enables easy and accurate measurement of the thickness of the suspension layer accumulated in the tanks, even with large depths of the devices and small diameters of the control holes.

Construction and principle of operation

The device in the form of a measure with a supporting plate is made of corrosion-resistant materials, i.e. PEHD and/or PVC and/or stainless steel of the 0H18N9 class. In order to measure the mineral suspension, the measuring cup should be gently lowered to the bottom of the chamber until increased resistance is felt. Note the upper level of sludge. Then push the measuring cup to the bottom of the tank. Note the level. The difference in levels determines the height of the sludge in the chamber. Upon confirmation of filling settler sludge over 50% of the allowable thickness, the sludge must be removed by a licensed plant.

NT-OIL-3 – a mobile device for measuring the thickness of a layer of mineral oils

Application

The NT-OIL-3 measuring device is used to determine the thickness of the layer of oils floated in separators petroleum substances used to treat oily storm or process sewage. Effectiveness of the substance separator petroleum products is strictly dependent on its proper operation, which requires systematic control of the thickness of the layer of floated oil substances. Measuring the thickness of the layer of oil retained in the separator allows you to estimate the volume of oil necessary to be removed by the service company. NT-OIL-3 allows you to measure the thickness of the oil derivatives layer without having to enter the separator. The device enables easy, accurate measurement of the thickness of the layer of oil substances accumulated in flotation devices, even with large device cavities and small diameters of control holes.

Construction and principle of operation

The NT-OIL-3 device consists of a calibrated rule equipped with an electronic sensor and a signaling module. The rule is protected by a cover which, when removed, can be used as its extension. The sensor is located in a plastic tube equipped with a scale. The sensor located at the end of the rule reacts to the type of medium with which it comes into contact. If the sensor is immersed in a layer of oil, the NT-OIL-3 does not transmit any signals to the outside. The NT-OIL-3 generates a sound signal upon contact with the water surface. The thickness of the oil layer equal to the length of the ruler covered with oil is read using the rule scale.
